Last week had a wet but enjoyable run at Desa Punggul with the short being about 6KM and the long at about 10.5KM.  The on out took us down by the subak where we turned south and continued on to the split. The weather, if a bit wet, was cool and refreshing with a slight breeze.  Perfect running and walking weather.  Circle was doused by rain a bit but it soon stopped and everyone had an enjoyable evening.

This week we will go to Pura Desa Sobangan. It’s about 8KM North of Mengwi up the road toward Bedugul. Turn right at the big tree just before the Coca Cola Amatil factory and follow the signs until you get to the run site which is just off the corner with a large wantilan. This is a great area for runs and has a nice variety of ups and downs with rice paddies and beautiful panoramic views.

Try to plan to get to the run site a bit before the actual start time so you can attend the pre-run briefing. Also, we can’t provide detailed information on the exact distance a run site is from some certain place on Instant messenger right before the run.  If you send us an IM right before the run, chances are we’re already on the way to the run site ourselves and will not see that message until Sunday or Monday.
